SEMrush vs Mangools 2023- Overview
Here’s a brief overview of SEMrush and Mangools as a perfect intro to deep comparison and analysis of the two competitor SEO toolsets.
SEMrush Overview
SEMrush started in 2008 as a humble keyword research tool, but fast forward to today, and SEMrush has both the largest keyword database and largest backlink index.
But SEMrush is more than just an SEO tool. It’s also a SEM tool that offers SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media marketing, and content marketing features, all within one platform for online marketers, agencies, and entrepreneurs.
Pro tip: you can access all SEMrush features via the left sidebar.
Millions of marketers, bloggers, and SEO agencies use SEMrush on a daily basis to help them run successful SEO campaigns.
You can use this app as well.
But first, learn about Mangools next right below.
Mangools Overview
Mangools started its online journey in 2014 as a simple and robust keyword tool called KWFinder.
In the subsequent years, the team behind KWFinder improved KWFinder maximally by improving UI and UX, and by boosting data accuracy.
But most importantly they added new tools to their offering.
These are:
- SERPWatcher;
- LinkMiner;
- SiteProfiler.
- SiteChecker.
and together with KWFinder they make up the suite that is Mangools.
After introducing four new tools and having formed Mangools the team behind gave up on introducing new tools and instead pivoted to perfecting what they already had.
Fast forward to today Mangools is one of the best (and most affordable) SEO/SEM toolsets on the market.
Learn below in detail how Mangools compares to SEMrush.
SEMrush Free Account vs Mangools Free Trial- Which Tool Has Fewer Limitations?
Before we delve deeper into the paid features of Mangools and SEMrush we need to thoroughly review their free offerings.
What value can you extract from these tools without paying anything to them?
Here’s the deal:
SEMrush offers a forever free account.
Mangools don’t offer a free account but they do offer a 10-day free trial which you can activate without a credit card. The free trial gives you full access to Mangools suite, but you don’t get comprehensive results as with a paid account.
For example, when doing keyword research you only get a handful of kw suggestions instead of all of them Mangools know about.
After 10 days your free trial will be deactivated and you will either have to purchase a paid Mangools plan or stop using their toolset.
SEMrush Free Account Value and Limitations
SEMrush feature | Limitation on a free account |
---|---|
Users | 1 |
Keywords | 10 per 24h |
Plagiarism checks | 0 |
Projects | 0 |
Pages to crawl | 100 |
SEO ideas units | 10 |
Social profile for monitoring | 50 |
Owned social profiles | 10 |
Basic locations | 10 |
Premium locations | 0 |
Scheduled PDF reprots | 1 |
Trends | 0 |
Smart Writer words | 0 |
Mangools Free Trial Value and Limitations
Keyword lookups | SERP lookups | Site lookups | Backlink rows | Related keywords | Competitor keywords |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
5 per 24h | 5 per 24h | 5 per 24h | 2000 rows | 25 keywords per search | 10 keywords per search |
Does SEMrush Free Account Offer More Value Than Mangools Free Trial?
SEMrush free account gives you just 10 searches per 24h and these 10 apply to keyword research, competitor research, and backlink research.
This means if you check the search volume of 2 different keywords, check the traffic levels of three competitor domains, and check the link profile of three competitors you will have 2 more actions remaining for the remainder of the 24h.
This makes SEMrush free account severely limited and is more to showcase the depth of SEMrush data than to really use it for competitor and market research.
However, the pro is that SEMrush free account is forever free and you can use the tool without paying for as long as you want.
That’s in stark contrast to Mangools which limits both the usage and the time with their 10-day free trial.
So, during 10 days you can only research 5 keywords and extract keywords from 5 competitors with KWFinder. Multiply that by 10 and you end up with 50 keyword searches and 50 competitor analyses.
Definitely good enough to get a taste of what Mangools can do, but not enough for serious market and competitor research.
However, the pro is that with every keyword search, you get 25 related keywords, as opposed to only 10 you get with SEMrush.
Still, given that SEMrush free account is free forever while Mangools will lock you out of the free trial after 10 days, I say SEMrush Free Account offers more value for $0 than Mangools Free Trial.
Agree?
Winner- SEMrush

Backlink Analysis: Semrush vs Mangools (LinkMiner)
Backlinks are extremely powerful rankings signals for Google.
With a solid link building strategy in place, and given enough time, you can outrank any competitor currently blocking your way.
But link building is not easy and many links can do more harm than good to your site.
You need a premium link building tool to help you and both SEMrush and Mangos can do the job.
But which tool is better at link discovery and analysis?
Find out right below!
SEMrush Backlink Analysis
Before 2019 I used to use Ahrefs exclusively for link building.
Ahrefs was simply the best and there was no way around it. However, since 2019 I’ve switched over to SEMrush backlink checker and I haven’t looked back.
I mention 2019 because that’s when SEMrush literally 10x-ed their backlink tool. They grew their link database dozens of times over plus improved many other aspects of their link checker app (for example SEMrush crawler bot got much faster at crawling the web).
Here’s how SEMrush link building tool works.
First, go to Link Building > Backlink Analytics and enter your target domain.
For example, let’s say I want to check my own site.
So I add it to the SEMrush Backlink Analytics tool and SEMrush gives me an overview of the analyzed domain’s authority score (as calculated by SEMrush’s internal algorithm), the total number of backlinks and referring domains, backlinks, and organic keywords. and monthly visits.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, quite literally in fact because you can scroll down the page to get additional info about the backlink profile of the analyzed domain.
First, you can see how your backlink profile is trending. If you see a downward movement, that is a warning sign you need to speed up your link building efforts.
This is because gradually losing links and not replacing them with new ones is a negative sign to Google that the domain is losing popularity and in response, Google lowers the website’s rankings.
Beneath that, you see the new/lost backlinks and referring domains reports. This is valuable and useful to you because SEMrush has an extremely fast crawler that can discover links almost as soon as they go live on the internet.
Next, when you scroll down you see categories of referring domains that signal relevance of the entire backlink profile, anchor text sample report (with the button to dive deeper) referring domains by authority scores, backlink types, and link attributes (follow, nofollow, sponsored, UGC).
Next, you can see where the links are coming from, extension distribution, and referring ip’s distribution compared to referring domain numbers.
You want to have many referring ip’s as it’s a sign your links are not coming from PBN’s and one network.
You can also see a domain’s strongest pages in terms of equity.
In my site’s case my guide to power words and how to use them is clearly the strongest page on my site.
Finally, the top pages report is worth taking an even closer look at.
By clicking on the button and delving deeper you can see the pages on a domain that get the most links which either means they’re highly linkable or a lot of link building has been done on them.
Either way, it’s a clear direction for your link-building efforts.
Note: to truly measure the strength of any page you need to consider the number and power of incoming links (PageRank) and the number of outgoing links (CheiRank).
More PageRank and less CheiRank is a powerful combination.
SEMrush helps you with that as well because it shows you (see in the image below) the number of external links taking authority away from any single page of the analyzed domain.
SEMrush Backlink tool is not just for giving an overview of the link profiles for entire websites.
You can also examine the link profiles of individual pages and that’s where the real juice lies.
Here’s how.
First, pick a page you want to inspect (I chose my “what is SEMrush” page):
Second, paste it into the search bar of SEMrush Backlink Analytics and hit go:
Third, you will be presented with a top bar with various filters to turn on or off.
On the left, there’s:
- all links– all backlinks in the SEMrush database for this specific URL;
- active– currently active links pointing to the URL;
- new– new backlinks that hit the page in the last week (you can also set it for a month and three months timeframe);
- lost– lost backlinks that hit the page in the last week (you can also set it for a month and three months timeframe).
On the right, there’s:
- all– all links regardless of meta tag designation;
- follow– only show dofollow links;
- nofollow– only show nofollow links;
- UGC– only show links with UGC tag;
- sponsored– only show links with sponsored tag
Below you see the links with important metrics to pay attention to.
- AS– authority score based on SEMrush internal algorithm calculation;
- The source page title and URL;
- External links– number of external links on the page;
- Internal links– number of internal links on the page;
- Anchor and target URL;
- First seen– when was the backlink first spotted;
- Last seen– is the link lost, and when?
Pro tip: One excellent feature is that you can check the checkbox and export them into a list of backlinks you want to replicate.
Now let’s see what Mangools can do below.
Mangools Backlink Analysis
Mangools’s backlink tool is called Link Miner.
Link Miner is a backlink checker powered up by the Majestic SEO backlink index and you can use it to uncover your competitor’s link strategies and use them against them.
Link Miner is an excellent backlink checker and let’s see below how it works.
First, go to LinkMiner and enter the domain you want to check (I will again use my website as an example). You can uncheck the “one link per domain” checkbox for Link Miner to show you all the links a domain has.
Click “find backlinks”.
After Mangools displays the backlinks pointing to a site on the right you can clearly see the root domains’ key link metrics.
These are:
- (CF) Citation Flow– Majestic metric showing the popularity of links;
- (TF) Trust Flow– Majestic metric showing the trustworthiness of links (similar to the HillTop algorithm);
- Referring IPs– diversity of ip’s of linking domains;
- Referring domains– number of referring domains;
- Backlinks– total number of backlinks;
On the left and below you can see a list of links, (up to 500 per page) Right above you can filter the links via dofollow/nofollow and active/deleted toggles.
For each link, there are the following metrics:
- CF– Citation Flow;
- TF-Trust Flow;
- El- external links;
- FB– Facebook shares
- HREF- backlink HREF path
- Anchor- anchor text of the link.
- LS – Link Strenght
Similar to SEMrush, each link you like can be bookmarked and saved to be exported for you to later replicate.
Note: one nice touch is that you can click on a link and Link Miner will load the page inside the dashboard and show you what the link looks like.
For example, I have a link to my Unbounce review from CrazyEgg with the anchor “landing page”
Mangools shows me the link and saves me the time it’d take me to visit the page and verify it’s really there (Link Miner checks this in real time).
The only problem is that occasionally Mangools can’t load the page, probably because the page is not coded properly or uses some fancy coding language.
Mangools Link Miner also allows you to filter backlinks which is especially useful when examing sites or pages with thousands of backlinks.
Let’s say I wanted to see the best links my site has. And I sent the Link Strength filter to the above 31.
And here’s Mangools Link Miner showing me the links with LS at least 31 and above.
As with all tools in the Mangools suite, LinkMiner lets you export the data to a CSV file.
Valuable for later if you ever decide to cancel your subscription.
You can get a subscription for Mangools for one month, do all your link research you need, and then cancel the next month.
Is SEMrush Better Than Mangools for Link Building?
SEMrush’s backlink checker used to be the least developed tool in the SEMrush toolset. For a while, it seemed like SEMrush have given up and allowed Ahrefs to completely take over the link building game.
Moreover, having made significant upgrades and improvements in 20219 (expanded link index, faster crawler bot, more accurate data…) nowadays SEMrush is, alongside Ahrefs, the best backlink checker on the market.
Mangools’s LinkMiner is also an excellent backlink checker and because it gets its data from Majestic SEO (the third best backlink checker after SEMrush and Ahrefs) the data is reliable and high quality.
I recommend Link Miner to all those who need a backlink checker and can’t afford SEMrush.
Finally, let’s quickly compare the two in raw numbers (I analyzed my site and Healthline with both SEMrush and Mangools).
SEO Tool | Website Analyzed | Backlink Count | Reffering Domains Count |
---|---|---|---|
SEMrush | nikolaroza.com | 13.3K | 2.6K |
Link Miner | nikolaroza.com | 7.3K | 1.2K |
SEMrush | healthline.com | 85.2M | 497K |
Link Miner | healthline.com | 33.1M | 274.7K |
As you can see, SEMrush consistently finds more referring domains and more backlinks than Link Miner.
Overall, SEMrush is the winner.
SEMrush vs Mangools in 2023- Which SEO Tool is Better for Link Building? Share on XSEMrush vs Mangools- Keyword Research
Both SEMrush and Mangools started as keyword research tools, and both nowadays are excellent keyword tools that can unveil your niche in front of your eyes right within their dashboards.
Let’s see how they compare.
SEMrush Keyword Research
To get started with keyword research with SEMrush, go to SEMrush.com>keyword overview and enter your target phrase. In my case, it’s “SEMrush free trial” query.
Next, take a look at the first row of data SEMrush shows you. You want to look at the keyword’s global monthly volume (search traffic in every version of Google across the globe), keyword difficulty, search intent, and CPC.
There’s also a filter row above where you can filter search volume by country and by desktop and mobile view.
The second row of data shows you:
- keyword variations;
- Questions;
- Related keywords;
Beneath each section, there are buttons you can click to get more data from SEMrush.
Finally, the third row of data shows you the first 10 websites currently ranking in the SERPs for the target query.
This is a goldmine of info because if you see a bunch of authority sites ranking with large link profiles to boot (SEMrush shows you number of backlinks, referring domains, and traffic going to that page…), you might be better off skipping that keyword and going for an easier one.
In the case of the phrase “SEMrush free trial” I’ve spotted one weaker website occupying positions 8 and 9. That means this keyword is rankable with some effort.
As I mentioned earlier, you should only use SEMrush Keyword Overview as a basic overview of the keyword you intend to target.
However, to do thorough keyword research you need to use SEMrush’s flagship keyword tool- Keyword Magic.
Within SEMrush and in the left sidebar click on the Keyword Magic Tool tab and type the target phrase in the search bar.
SEMrush will show you all keywords related to your main query with important metrics for each keyword.
- Intent;
- Volume;
- Keyword difficulty;
- CPC;
- Competitive density;
- SERP features;
- Results;
- Updated
If you’re faced with too many keywords and you don’t know where to look you can use the filter bar above the keyword list where you can filter keywords based on:
- Questions;
- Broad match;
- Phrase match;
- Exact match;
- Related.
You can also go deeper with filtering and include keywords, exclude keywords, maximum or minimum CPC, and minimum and maximum search volume…
You can also use the keyword groups on the left side of the table to find different combinations of keywords. Just clicking on one of these key phrases gives you an entirely new set of keywords to work with.
And if you want to remove any of the keywords you can click on the eye icon and that will exclude it from the report.
Pro tip: especially valuable report is “Questions” which you can use to find questions to rank for (SEMrush scrapes questions from Google SERPs and also uses their internal keyword database).
You can either add FAQs to your target page, or you can create individual FAQ pages. Usually, with these long tail questions, all you need to do is include the keyword in URL title, meta title, and once or twice in content. And you’ll rank.
In this case, there are only 7 questions related to SEMrush free trial, but for some queries, there will be hundreds of questions to pick from.
When you find the question you want simply check the checkbox and go “add to list” and you can save a master list of keywords to target.
Priceless!
Finally, the third way (my favorite) to research keywords with SEMrush is to extract the keywords of the pages you want to replace in the SERPs.
First, go to Competitive Research > Organic Research and enter the competitor page you want to spy on.
In the case of the keyword “SEMrush free trial” I took the current number #1 ranking page and put it in SEMrush.
Here, SEMrush shows me how many keywords the page ranks for, the traffic it’s getting, and the cost of traffic. The cost of traffic is important because it shows whether buyer intent is present or not.
At the top, there’s also a language version bar where I can toggle between US, CA, UK, and traffic from other Google versions.
You can also switch between mobile and desktop traffic.
As you can see this example page ranks for 140 keywords, and to see all of them I need to scroll down the page and click on the “view all 140 organic keywords” button.
This will show me all the keywords the page ranks for.
Mangools Keyword Research (KWFinder)
Now let’s do some wholesome keyword research with Mangools’s KWFinder.
First, go to KWFinder and enter your seed query (“Mangools free trial”).
Pick the language you want (English) and the market (US). Click on the green “Find Keywords” button.
KWFinder will proceed to generate a list of keyword suggestions and with each keyword comes important metrics like search volume, difficulty score, keyword difficulty score, CPC, PPC, and keyword trends.
Above the keyword, there are three tabs named:
- Related keywords;
- autocomplete
- Questions.
And before every keyword, there’s a checkbox that you can tick to proceed to save the keyword to a list that you can pursue later.
KWFinder also has a nifty filtering system that is based on the metric shown for each keyword and that you can use to find the best keywords for your online business.
Simply click the “Filter” tab and add the filter you want.
For example, whenever starting a new website I like to target keywords with <200 monthly visitors because I know those are much less competitive and thus easier to rank in Google and Bing.
On the right, there’s a section that shows you how difficult your keyword is, whether it’s trending upward or downward and you also get an overview of the SERPs and the current ranking pages.
Mangools partially source their data from Majestic SEO and Moz and that’s why you have access to their proprietary metrics (DA and PA for Moz, and TF, CF for Majestic SEO).
You also get the number of Facebook shares and estimated visits per page.
You can also use Mangools to research competitor keywords on both domain and URL levels.
First, go back to the KWFinder landing page, click “Search by Domain” and in the search bar add your competitors’ URLs.
After the results load you will see the keywords your competitor ranks for and of course each keyword with the same metrics you saw above.
You’ll also be able to filter those keywords as shown below.
And on the right hand side, there’s a SERP overview where you can see the competition you’ll be up against if you decide to target this keyword.
Again, very valuable because if you see the SEPRs are overcrowded with sites much stronger than yours, then you need to reconsider targeting this keyword.
It’s better to pick an easier keyword and rank faster.
SEMrush vs Mangools Keyword Research- Which Tool is the Winner?
Both SEMrush and KWFinder are excellent keyword tools, but arguably SEMrush is better.
First, SEMrush has a larger keyword database which means they can show you more keywords with more accurate search volume and keyword difficulty estimates.
Second, SEMrush’s paid account is not capped with the amount of data they deliver.
Meaning, whichever paid SEMrush plan you have you get access to all data, while KWFinder gives you data with limitations based on the plan you picked (for example Mangools Basic only gives you 200 kw’s per search while the other two plans give you up to 700 keywords per search).
Bottom line: Mangools’s KWFinder is a decent keyword research tool and is excellent for beginners.
However, SEMrush is a pro keyword research tool, and the wealth of data it delivers can put you on top of your SEO campaigns, especially if you’re competing against marketers who use Mangools KWFinder.
Due to keyword result limitations, Mangools is not perfect for agencies.
It’s also not an ideal scenario if you are using the tool for multiple clients at your digital marketing agency.
Winner- SEMrush
SEMrush vs Mangools 2023- Which SEO Tool is Better for Keyword Research? Share on XSEMrush vs Mangools- Position Tracking
Both SEMrush and Mangools have rank trackers as parts of their SEO toolsets.
Let’s see how they compare.
SEMrush Position Tracking (Rank Tracker)
Semrush Position Tracking app allows you to monitor both your mobile and desktop rankings for a preselected group of keywords.
To start tracking keywords, first, you must have an active project running in Semrush. Once you open your free SEMrush account, SEMrush will immediately prompt you to add a website as a project.
I already did with my site nikolaroza.com.
Once you’ve set up your project, go to Project > Position Tracking > Set up.
Add your location, select the device (desktop, mobile, or tablet), and add your competitors’ domains.
Next, add a list of keywords that you want to rank for.
Hit the “Start tracking” button to generate your position tracking report.
The report will take time to populate but once it does it’ll display three graphs showing estimated traffic, visibility, and keyword position trending.
Mangools Position Tracking (SerpWatcher)
Mangools’s rank tracker tool is called SerpWatcher.
To have it start tracking your keywords you first have to set up a campaign.
So, go to Serpwatcher and click on “create tracking”.
Next, you need to set up a new domain for which you want to track keywords.
Add tracked domains, locations, and search platforms (desktop or mobile).
Next, add keywords to SerpWatcher and click on “start tracking”.
Finally, SerpWatcher will immediately show you tracked keywords along with some crucial metrics:
- Keyword;
- Rank;
- Average rank;
- Best position;
- Search Volume;
- EV- estimated visits based on SERP position.
SEMrush or Mangools- Which Tool is a Better Rank Tracker?
Both SEMrush and Mangools are excellent at tracking keywords and I’m going to give them an equal score on this one.
I award a point to Mangools simply because their dashboard is much more intuitive and easier to use.
And I award a point to SEMrush because you can use their free trial to track hundreds of keywords for the duration of the trial, while Mangools only gives you 10 keywords to track.
SEMrush vs Mangools 2023- Which SEO Tool is a Better Keyword Rank Tracker? Share on XSEMrush vs Mangools User Interface and Experience
User interface and experience are how easy and intuitive it is to use the tool or an app, in this case, Mangools and SEMrush,
Take a look at the Mangools interface.
Now take a look at SEMrush’s interface
I think you already know where I’m going with this…
Mangools User Interface
Mangools advertises itself as a complete SEO/SEM toolset that’s perfect for beginners. And user interface is one of their strongest points. UI is very simple, streamlined, and easy for a newbie to use.
First, once you log into your account, you come up to a simple landing page from where you’ll be able to go to any of the 5 tools Mangools offer.
Next, depending on the tools you need, you just need to click on one of them and proceed to do your marketing research.
Very simple and easy.
I also like how from any tool you can access all other tools right from the menu.
For example, I’m inside KWFinder and here I can access all other Mangools tools from the menu.
SEMrush User Interface
Now, SEMrush… It’s a mess!
It’s a great SEO and SEM tool, doesn’t get me wrong, but it looks scary the first time you log into it.
While Mangools keep the tools in separate dashboards, SEMrush keeps them all under one roof, categorized as:
- Competitive research;
- Keyword research;
- Link building;
- On-page and tech SEO;
- Local SEO;
- Advertising;
- Social media;
- Content marketing;
- Trends;
- Agency solutions.
And hidden under accordions are the options to explore and use the SEMrush tools and features.
Overall, it definitely works, but it definitely feels overcrowded. Don’t forget that SEMrush offers more than 50 tools under their brand name, which means you’re looking at a dashboard with dozens of tools you could potentially use.
Mangools vs SEMrush- User Interface and Experience
There’s not much to say here.
Mangools’s UI and UX are beyond comparison better than SEMrush’s UI and UX.
The only thing I can say for SEMrush is that by using SEMrush regularly you will quickly learn to ignore the features you don’t need and dial in on the essentials.
Winner- Mangools.
SEMrush vs Mangools 2023- Which SEO Tool is More Intuitive and Easier to Use? Share on XSEMrush vs Mangools- Customer Support
Both SEMrush and Mangools have excellent customer support and there are plenty of ways to get help if you ever need it.
Let’s start with SEMrush.
SEMrush Customer Support
There are 4 ways to get help from SEMrush if you’re ever stuck with any of their tools.
First, you can get answers to your questions via the SEMrush Knowledge Base.
Second, you can contact SEMrush via the contact page (accessed via the SEMrush dashboard as a logged-in user).
Third, you can contact SEMrush via live chat.
SEMrush live chat is best for problems that you feel can be solved quickly and by a qualified SEMrush employee.
Again, from the SEMrush dashboard click on the orange question mark icon and select “live chat”.
Then you can either search their knowledge base for answers to your questions or opt to ask a question.
Fourth, you can contact SEMrush via their social profiles, especially via Twitter.
- Facebook– https://www.facebook.com/Semrush/
- Twitter– https://twitter.com/semrush
- Instagram– https://www.instagram.com/semrush/
- LinkedIn– https://www.linkedin.com/company/semrush
This is the slowest and most fallible way though. There’s no guarantee they’ll respond promptly. They also don’t respond to DM’s on Twitter so don’t even bother.
You’ll be labeled as a spammer if you’re too persistent.
Mangools Customer Support
There are 3 ways to get help from Mangools if you’re ever stuck with any of their tools.
First, most queries can be answered by looking for an answer in the Mangools Knowledge Base.
Second, you can send them an email via Mangool’s contact form.
You don’t need to be logged in Mangools to access their contact form.
Instead, it’s in the footer.
Third, you can contact Mangools support via live chat which can be triggered from Mangools’s contact page (you don’t have to be logged in to see the live chat option)
SEMrush or Mangools- Whose Customer Support is Better?
Both SEMrush and Mangools offer excellent customer support, but since SEMrush has a more extensive knowledge base and since you can contact them via social profiles, SEMrush is the winner here.
Winner- SEMrush.

SEMrush or Mangools in 2023: How Do These SEO Tools Compare in the Pricing Department?
Take a look at how SEMrush and Mangools compare in pricing.
SEO Tool | Number of Paid Plans | Free Trial | Cheapest Plan | Most Expensive Plan | Discount |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
SEMrush | 4 | Yes | $119.95/mo | $449.95/mo | 17% |
Mangools | 3 | Yes | $49/mo | $129.mo | 35% |
As you can see, SEMrush is much more expensive than Mangools. Their cheapest plan is roughly the same price as Mangool’s most expensive plan.
Does that mean SEMrush is too pricey and not worth getting?
No, it doesn’t. SEMrush is a superior SEO tool to Mangools.
They have a larger pool of data which means more data and more accurate data for you, from links to keywords and everything in between. Having access to better data will positively impact your SEO campaigns.
Mangools is also an excellent SEO tool in its own right and if you can’t afford SEMrush you can go with Mangools and use it to grow your business.
My suggestion for you is to start a free trial of any Mangools plan you want, and then if you’re not happy cancel before the 10 day-trial is over.
And if you like Mangools go for the plan you picked (Agency is best) but if you can’t afford then go for the Basic plan.
It’s only $49/mo when paid monthly or $29.90/mo in a yearly plan and with it, you’ll be able to grow your online business up to the point when you’ll be able to afford SEMrush.
Finally, don’t forget that all Mangools paid plans come with 35% discounts if you pick yearly versions and that is almost twice the discount from SEMrush’s 17%.
Winner in the pricing category- Mangools!

SEMrush vs Mangools 2023 (Conclusion)
SEMrush vs Mangools in 2023…
My comparison guide is over.
Both SEMrush and Mangools have their strengths and weaknesses.
SEMrush is packed with features but is not user-friendly. Beginners usually complain that the dashboard is too complex and the learning curve is too steep.
Mangools’ UI is super-intuitive and well thought out, but it lacks the features that SEMrush has and the data it delivers is subpar compared to SEMrush.
SEMrush is a very expensive tool, with the cheapest price starting at $119.95/mo for the Pro plan, while Mangools is more affordable, with the most expensive plan being Agency with $129.mo.
Overall, I recommend SEMrush to anyone who is looking to seriously grow their site with SEO and needs a tool that can help them do it. Then, paying for SEMrush is worth it, and you will quickly get your money back.
However, if you can’t afford SEMrush or you simply want a simple tool, or SEO is not the end-all-be-all for you, go with Mangools, and you won’t regret it.
