SD Bullion Lawsuit Guide- Everything You Need to Know (Regularly Updated)!

SD Bullion Lawsuit 1- Sanchez v. SD Bullion, Inc.

The plaintiff’s complaint identifies several website accessibility violations:
The defendant’s website lacks alternative text for images, which prevents screen-reading software from describing visual content to users with visual impairments.

The site also contains empty links with no descriptive text, making their purpose unclear to keyboard and screen-reader users. Additionally, multiple adjacent links directing to the same destination create unnecessary navigation challenges, and linked images without alternative text leave screen-reader users unable to understand the link’s function.

Based on these accessibility barriers, the plaintiff brings claims under the Americans with Disabilities Act, New York State Human Rights Law, New York State Civil Rights Law, and New York City Human Rights Law, while also seeking declaratory relief.

The plaintiff requests comprehensive relief including preliminary and permanent injunctions to stop ADA violations and mandate full website compliance with accessibility standards. They seek class certification, a judicial declaration that the defendant operates the website in a discriminatory manner, and monetary compensation including statutory damages, punitive damages, attorney fees, and court costs. The plaintiff also requests pre- and post-judgment interest along with any additional relief the court deems appropriate.
