This and much much more in my Fiverr affiliate program review.
What is Fiverr and How Does it Work?
Fiverr is the world’s largest online marketplace for freelancers to join and market their skills on. Services start at just $5 a pop (hence the name Fiverr) but freelancers are free to charge thousands of dollars for their work.
Fiverr’s marketplace is huge and you can find almost anything you can think of.
The platform is divided into mega categories such as:
And each of these categories is further divided into dozens of relevant subcategories.
According to Fiverr, these freelancers are:
trusted by the biggest brands.
Finally Fiver has grown beyond being just a marketplace for freelancers.
They also offer:
You can clearly see there’s a tonne of opportunities for you to make money on Fiverr.
But first you’ve got to become their affiliate!
How to Join Fiverr’s Affiliate Program?
It’s both easy and free to join and here are the steps.
Step #1– Go to Fiverr home page and sign up.
Step #2- Enter your info and create a strong password.
Step #3– Tell Fiverr something about your business and how you intend to promote them.
Be honest but don’t let this stop you for a minute. Because, whatever you enter, you will get the same promotional material as everyone else.
Now that you’ve joined, let’s dig deeper into Fiverr’s affiliate system and see how best to use it so you earn the most money you can.
7 Fiverr Affiliate Program Pros- These Features Make it a Superb Choice for Most Marketers!
#1- Homepage Designed for Maximum Clicks and Sales
As a Fiverr affiliate, you will often send newbies to the homepage so they can perform maybe their first search ever in Fiverr’s internal search engine.
The good news is that Fiverr’s homepage is built to remove friction and get them rolling as quickly as possible.
It’s easy to sign up. It’s easy to start browsing.
Trust symbols are everywhere and there’s even a popup that gently and effectively nudges people to open a new Fiver account.
#2- A Plethora of Tools to Make Your Job Easier
Fiverr’s library of marketing material is enormous.
They gives you a plethora of banners and creatives which you can filter by:
- And file formats;
It’s one of the most comprehensive offerings I’ve ever seen and all free to use and optimized for conversions.
#3- Deep Linking Available
What are deep links?
Deep linking is when you, instead of using a generic link to the homepage, link to specific Fiverr products you’re promoting. This is extremely valuable because relevant deep links are much more effective than generic homepage links.
For example, it is much faster that when I talk about freelance writing on my blog, I link to a freelance writer I often use, then to link to homepage so you can then search Fiverr looking for that gig I was telling you about.
That’s be a waste of time for you, but with Fiverr’s deep linking, you go where you want right away.
#4- Excellent Commission Structure and Rates
Fiverr’s commission rates are excellent.
They offers two commission plans, CPA and Hybrid.
This is a dynamic system where you get anywhere from $15 to $50 CPA for first-time buyers
The reasons you don’t always get $15, or $50 CPA is because earnings depend on the service subcategory.
- Whiteboard and explainer videos – you get $50
- WordPress – $40
- Blog posts and articles- you get $25
- Copywriting services – you get $30
- Everything else – you get $15
Under his model you get a fixed $10 CPA for all FTB (first time buyers) +10% revenue share from the order value of every purchase the user makes for 12 months.
This means you’ll get instant reward for your effort + passive income trickling in over form their further purchases.
#5- Many Payment Options
Payments are made upon your request and only after you’ve accumulated $100 in your account.
Affiliates have several payment options.
You can receive money via Payoneer, PayPal, or your bank account (wire/ACH transfer).
#6- No Real Competition
Fiverr is a clear market leader today. It’s dominance, variety and quality of service, and the fact that they’re still growing makes it a superb choice for affiliates to promote.
Plus it has no real competitors.
Closest to Fiverr in size and performance is Upwork.
But, Upwork targets a different user group, has a much more narrow scope and doesn’t have an affiliate program.
For now and foreseeable future Fiverr is the leader and promoting them long term is a safe bet.
3 Cons That Put a Damper on Fiverr’s Affiliate Program-Nothing’s Ever Perfect In This World:(
#1- Commissions for First Time Buyers Only
Under Fiverr’s CPA model you get commissions only for referring folks who’ve never been to Fiverr before.
So, even if they have an old account they never used, you still won’t be be paid because they’re not a first time buyer.
This is remedied a bit by their Hybrd model, which gives you a fixed $10 CPA plus 10% on all other purchases your referrals make.
#2- Affiliate Payment Threshold is Pretty Steep
As a Fiverr affiliate, you only get paid after you’ve earned $100+ dollars. Not a big deal, but the golden standard in affiliate marketing industry is $50, or less!
#3- Commissions are Capped
The most lucrative of all Fiverr’s programs is Fiver Pro, which allows for $150 commission per gig.
This seems like it’s a lot but some Fiverr’s Pro gigs cost thousands of $$$ so, for example 10% would be a much better option for affiliates.
4 Tips for Making $3000+ as a Fiverr Affiliate
#1- Create a Mega List of Gigs You’ve Used for Your Business
If you’re a regular on Fiverr and have purchased a lot, you can get some of that money back.
By creating a mega guide and resource bundle where you’l list all services you’ve used in the past.
Create a listicle-type article and list out your favorite gigs. Under each there should be a short description of the gig plus your affiliate link.
Don’t forget those! 😀
#2- Deep Link Like Your Life Depends on it
Deep links work.
They’re relevant. They’re helpful. And they can make you sales while you sleep.
Deep link like your life depends on it and know you’re doing your readers a favor. Because they want and need solutions to their burning problems.
And maybe some Fiverr gig is exactly what they need.
#3- Write a Fiverr Review
People who’re searching for “Fiverr review” in Google are already thinking of buying and just need to validate their idea by reading an honest review.
There’s no reason why that can’t be your honest review.
And no, “I’m so lazy” is not reason enough for me 🙂
It’s all about search intent, and I want you to think about this for a moment.
People who’re search for “Fiverr review” are people who never used it before i.e. first time buyers.
They’re perfect candidates for clicking on your affiliate links;

#4- Focus on Promoting Fiverr Pro
Fiverr Pro is a special brand of Fiverr where only 1% of freelancers are admitted. The service there is super amazing and prices are just as high.
For every Fiverr Pro gig you score, you make $150.
That’s a lot, especially if you’re not yet a seasoned marketer who scoffs at paltry sums such as these. I remember when I was starting out, $150 per sale seemed incredible to me.
Now? Not so much 😎
I suggest that if you’re in a hurry to make money (who isn’t) you promote mostly from Fiverr Pro.
